Founded in 2005 as Blogtronix; a social content management platform. The first product launch was in January 2006. Blogtronix was one of the first companies to offer a complete suite of collaboration tools on a single platform including; blogs, rich media, wikis, document management, customizable profiles and RSS. Later on more tools were added for the enterprise including LDAP and SSO integrations. The platform was one of the few available as software, so it could be installed on servers behind the corporate firewall for content security purposes or as SaaS.
2009 saw the launch of our OpenSource platform which can be installed as software or hosted in the cloud. Today our combined software platforms have powered over 50,000 communities in 170 countries and 40+ languages. In 2012 we changed our name to Sharetronix to better reflect the new focus of our private social networking platforms.
